ex DND RO. Ed's home town was Fort Simpson. As a youngster he swept up and did chores for the army radio staff. They taught him code and operating and he joined up when he was old enough. By far the best CW operator on the circuit, signed EL and he held a permanent RO2 position with DOT. Ed was a good pilot and operated his own airplane in the 1960s. I only wish I had kept notes about all the history he told me when we spent time together on shift. Hope that old vibroplex is in a place of honour somewhere. gg
