Headquarters: Dr. Martin Fournier has been appointed the new director general of Radio and Radar Research. Dr. Fournier was director of the Telecommunications and Remote Sensing Research Laboratory and director of research for the masters and doctoral programs at Laval University... Roger Mandeville is the new director of Classification, Compensation and Organization. He was chief of Planning in the Personnel Policy Branch at Treasury Board... Gaetan Langlois, former director of classification, compensation and organization in the personnel branch, has joined the Quebec government... Janis Kostash, who was a project officer in the Latin American and Caribbean section of the Canadian International Development Agency, has assumed her duties as coordinator of Equal Opportunities for Women in the department. She replaces Gracia Howard who moved to the Department of Manpower and Immigration... Brian Hepworth has been appointed the new director of Administrative Services. He was senior planning officer in the Senior Personnel Branch in the Privy Council Office... Peter Lusick, former director of the division, becomes a special advisor on administrative matters... Anne Cooper, graphic artist in Administrative Services, has left the department to move to British Columbia. Several editions of 60 Days have been graced by her cartoons... Jean-Jacques Rousseau, formerly a senior management consultant in DOC's Management and Computer Services, has been named the department's assistant director of Administrative Services under the Career Assignment Program... Maurice Charbonneau, Q.C., is the new director of Legal Services. He was previously a member of the National Parole Board and before that was with the Department of Justice since 1960... Mary Aitken, former chief of Library Services, has left to become the chief librarian at the Department of Finance... Otto Brodrick, former director of Management and Computer Services, is now with the Auditor General's office... Raymond Voisine replaces Madeleine Courchesne and is responsible for coordination of Treasury Board submissions in the Financial Services branch... Kay Lanthier, secretary and administrative assistant for the past 15 years to Dr. Irvin Paghis, who retired in October, has accepted a position with the anti-inflation board... Anita Kipp, an administration supervisor in the Telecommunication Regulatory Service, has retired after 36 years in the government... Dr. Colin Franklin, former CTS project manager until April 1975, has left for a one-year assignment with the European Space Agency in France.

 

Atlantic Region: Rhodena Cormier, a clerk in the Government of Telecommunications Agency in Moncton, is on an administrative Development Program sponsored by EOW. Her assignment will be in GTA's planning and forecasting services... Patrick J. Fitzpatrick, district manager for the St. John's, Nfld., district office, died following a brief illlness. Mr. Fitzpatrick joined the Ministry of Transport in 1952 and then transferred to the Department of Communications during the reorganization.

 

Quebec Region: Danièle Leonard, a clerk in the Montreal regional office, has been selected by the Equal Opportunities for Women committee for a one-year developmental assignment.

Il était directeur du Laboratoire de recherches en télécommunication et télédétection de l'Université Laval et directeur de recherches pour les cycles de maîtrise et de doctorat à la même université... Maurice Charbonneau C.R., est le nouveau directeur du Contentieux. Avant sa nomination, il était commissaire à la Commission nationale des libérations conditionnelles. Il avait auparavant été au service du ministère de la Justice où il était entré en 1960... Mary Aitken, chef de la division de la bibliothèque et de la recherche documentaire a quitté le ministère pour le poste de bibliothécaire en chef au ministère des Finances... Otto Brodrick, auparavant chef des Services de gestion et d'informatique du Ministère a accepté un poste au Bureau de l'Auditeur général... Roger Mandeville, nouveau directeur, Classification, rémunération et organisation était auparavant chef de la division de la Planification, à la direction de la Politique du personnel au Conseil du trésor... Gaétan Langlois, ancien directeur, Classification, rémunération et organisation à la direction du Personnel, travaillera désormais pour le gouvernement du Québec... Janis Kostash, qui était agent de projet à la direction de l'Amérique latine et des Caraibes, près l'Agence canadienne de développement international, assumera les fonctions de coordonnatrice du Programme de promotion de la femme au Ministère. Elle remplace Gracia Howard, qui travaille maintenant pour le ministère de la Main­d'oeuvre et de l'Immigration... Brian Hepworth a été nommé directeur des Services administratifs. Il était auparavant agent supérieur de la planification au Secrétariat du personnel supérieur au Bureau du Conseil privé... Peter Lusick, ancien directeur de la Division, deviendra conseiller pour les questions administratives... Anne Cooper qui était graphiste aux Services administratif est déménagée en Colombie britannique et a quitté le Ministère... Ses caricatures ont égayé plusieurs numéros de,jour 60... Raymond Voisine remplace Madeleine Courchesne aux Services financiers à titres de responsable de la coordination des demandes présentées au Conseil du Trésor... Jean-Jacques Rousseau, anciennement conseiller supérieur de gestion et d'informatique au MDC, a été nommé directeur adjoint aux Services administratifs, en vertu du Programme d'affectation des cadres de la Commission de la fonction publique... Kay Lanthier, secrétaire et adjointe administrative de M. Irvine Paghis depuis 15 ans, a accepté un poste à la Commission de lutte contre l'inflation. M. Paghis a pris sa retraite en octobre... Anita Kipp, surveillante administrative aux Services de la réglementation des télécommunications, a pris sa retraite après 36 ans de service au gouvernement... M. Colin Franklin, gestionnaire dans le cadre du programme du satellite Hermès (STT) jusqu'en avril 1975, a été affecté à l'Agence spatiale européenne, en France, pour une durée d'un an.

 

Région de l'Atlantique: Rhodena Cormier, commis à l'ATG à Moncton, est maintenant stagiaire en administration grâce au Programme de promotion de la femme. Elle travaillera à la division des Prévisions en matière d'applications de l'ATG... Patrick J. Fitzpatrick, gestionnaire du bureau de district de Saint-Jean, T.-N., est décédé à la suite d'une courte maladie. M. Fitzpatrick s'était joint au ministère des Transports en 1952, puis avait été muté au MDC lors de sa création.

 

Région du Québec: Danièle Léonard, commis au bureau régional de Montréal, a été choisie par le Programme de promotion de la femme pour effectuer un stage d'apprentissage d'un an.

Ron Bagley, from the National Telecommunications Branch, has been appointed project manager, Spectrum Management Systems, in the Telecommunications Regulatory Service... Michel Granger, former chief, Library, for the Translation Bureau at the Secretary of State Department, has joined DOC as chief, Library and Information Retrieval Services... Don Kettle has been appointed director of industrial programs in Research Policy and Planning. Formerly director of marketing and sales of Northern Telecom's Digital and Satellite Division, Mr. Kettle takes over from Bob Tanner who has retired... Guyanne Sauvé, former staffing officer at Statistics Canada, has joined the department as the senior human resources planning officer in the personnel branch... Renée d'Anjou-Poirier, former co­ordinator for francophone participation in the bilingualism programs branch, has moved to Europe while on a one-year leave of absence. Her replacement is Jean-Louis Patry, a former language teacher with the Public Service Commission... Rosemary Doyle, from Statistics Canada has also joined the bilingualism programs section as coordinator for the bilingual glossary... Christianne Laliberté has joined the bilingualism programs branch as text revisor... Doris Oxton from the National Telecommunications Branch replaces Rena Richer as the Deputy Minister's secretary while Mrs Richer is on maternity leave... Denise Domien, an administrative trainee, has joined the department as a budget and cost analyst in the financial planning and program review branch.

 

Central Region: Harold H. Waist commenced his duties as systems consultant for Manitoba, on February 7, 1977 with Winnipeg GTA... Doug H. Lovejoy is the telecommunications systems manager for Alberta and the Northwest Territories... Yvette Creft has been appointed regional coordinator of the equal opportunities for women program... Hilda Warkentin is the new regional finance officer.

 

Pacific Region: Keith Jevons, the regional personnel administrator in the Pacific Region has joined the Canadian Penitentiary Service, Solicitor General's Department in Vancouver. He is replaced by Allan F. Corenblum who joins the department from the regional office of the Canadian Penitentiary Service.

Dolgin était directeur adjoint des Affaires économiques et sociales à la direction des Nations Unies au ministère des Affaires extérieures... Ron Begley, de la direction générale des Télécommunications nationales, a été nommé gestionnaire de projet, Système de gestion du spectre, au Service de la réglementation des télécommunications... Michel Granger, anciennement chef de la bibliothèque du Bureau des traductions est le nouveau chef de la division de la bibliothèque et de la recherche documentaire au Ministère... Don Kettle a été nommé directeur des Programmes industriels à la direction de la planification et des politiques de recherche. Il était anciennement directeur de la commercialisation et des ventes pour la division des systèmes numériques et des systèmes de satellite de la Northern Telecom. M. Kettle remplace Bob Tanner qui a pris sa retraite... Guyenne Sauvé, qui était agent de dotation à Statistique Canada est maintenant agent principal de la Planification des ressources humaines à la direction du Personnel... Renée d'Anjou-Poirier, coordonnatrice de la participation des francophones à la direction des Programmes de bilinguisme, nous a quitté pour prendre un congé sabbatique d'un an en Europe. Son remplaçant est M. Jean-Louis Patry, anciennement professeur de langue à la Commission de la Fonction publique... Il y a deux autres nominations à la direction des Programmes de bilinguisme: Rosemary Doyle, coordonnatrice du glossaire bilingue, et Christiane Laliberté, réviseur de texte... Doris Oxton, de la direction des Télécommunications nationales remplace à titre de secrétaire du sous­ministre Rena Ritcher, actuellement en congé de maternité... Denise Domien, stagiaire en administration, est entrée au service du Ministère à titre d'analyste des budgets et des coûts à la direction de la Planification financière et de la révision des programmes.

 

Région du Centre: Harold H. Weist est le nouveau conseiller en systèmes pour le Manitoba, au bureau de l'ATG à Winnipeg... Doug H. Lovejoy est gestionnaire des systèmes de télécommunication pour l'Alberta et les Territoires du Nord-Ouest. Yvette Creft a été nommée coordonnatrice régionale du Programme de la promotion de la femme dans sa région... Hilda Warkentin est le nouvel agent régional des finances.

 

Région du Pacifique: Keith Jevons, qui était administrateur du personnel de la région du Pacifique, travaille maintenant pour le Service canadien des pénitenciers à Vancouver. II est remplacé par Allan F. Corenblum qui travaillait au bureau régional du Service canadien des pénitenciers.
