If you want to add Stan Smith to your list of ROs, he started a small radio repair shop in  the 30's in Outlook, Saskatchewan.

Later he moved to Prince Albert and worked at the Electric Shop where he repaired both radio and TV until retirement in the mid 80's.

He taught radio operators during the war and was an active Ham, VE5AW for many years.  After letting his call sign lapse, he was later granted VE5SS.  Passed away in 1998.
