Ancien inspecteur radio du MDC à Thunder Bay de 1974 à 1981. A travaillé au DGRR / DOS et à la DGTP au quartier général. Retraité en 2003.

I worked at DOC in the Thunder Bay District office from 1974 to 1981.  After that I worked at HQ in DGRR/DOS for 8 years and then the rest of my time in DGTP until 2003.  I still do the odd Friday lunch with the remnants of the people in what was DOS.

I started with DOC as a Radio Inspector TIRL in the Thunder Bay District Office in 1974 and spent a couple of years at the Thunder Bay Monitoring Station before moving to HQ in 1981. I spent 10 years in Radio licensing policy and another 8 years in the telecom policy branch. I was seconded to private industry for 5 years to work with the CRTC and retired in 2004 from the Department. I continued working with my private industry job for another 10 years.

Oddly, I was hired by Central Region from Lakehead University because, I think that Thunder Bay was still part of Central Region when I had my interview. One of my classmates was also hired at the same time and he started at the Fort Smith monitoring station.
