Fred Grezel, from Sydney, N.S., held radio operator positions in Moncton, Grindstone, Sydney and Halifax.
In 1963, he transferred to the ionosphere station at Ottawa and subsequently to the monitoring station in Acton.
Promoted to radio inspector in 1965 at Hamilton, Mr. Grezel returned to the Atlantic Region in 1975, where he accepted a position with operations in the regional office.
The following year, he was appointed manager of the Moncton district and laterally transferred to the Sydney district office in 1978.

Donald Courcy remembers Fred......
I was a Radio Inspector in Sydney, Nova Scotia in 1978 when Fred Grezel arrived as our new District Manager. I worked for Fred until I transferred to the CRTC in January 1980. I really enjoyed working for Fred. He was a gentleman and a super guy ! We kept in touch for a couple of years after my departure but I haven't talked to Fred since 1982. I believe he spends his retired life on the shore of the Mira river on Cape Breton Island.
I hope to see him again next time I visit Heaven On Earth, also known as Cape Breton Island.
