responsible for all area sales of the Digital Systems Div. including
analog / digital computers, major security communications customers for
specialized electronic printers and test and measurement equipment for
research and development laboratories. Took courses on measuring,
recording, and storing of data and electrical standards.

(Ottawa) - Government Accounts Mgr. and Office Mgr - major government
and research and development laboratories, security and communications
customers.
Amateur Radio
History
1947
– First licensed as VE3BBM in North Bay. Since then most of my on-air
activity has been on CW.
Former member of North Bay A.R.C., London A.R.C.,
Skywide A.R.C. and Champlain Repeater Association.
Life member Ottawa Valley Mobile Radio Club and
current member Ottawa Amateur Radio Club, Society of Wireless Pioneers,
Antique Wireless Association, Morse Telegraph Club, Ottawa Vintage Radio
Club and Radio Amateurs of Canada. For 14 years served as Radio Amateurs
of Canada delegate to RABC EMC Committee and was chairman of that
committee for two years.
Wrote "CROSSWAVES" column in The Canadian Amateur for 12 years and
devoted 35 years to resolving RF Interference/EMC related problems for
amateurs and commercial clients. The Ralph Cameron Laboratory at
University of Vermont, E.M. Luce Center for Speech and Hearing studies
is the result of the successful consultation which resulted in
considerable savings during construction of their new language training
facilities.
Have consulted on problems associated with proximity of transmitters to
consumer electronics and assisted Industry Canada in resolving these
conflicts. Have acted as a Court "expert witness" in two legal cases
involving lack of EMC in consumer electronic equipment.
Awarded RAC Radio Amateur of the Year in 1986 and the
RAC Award of Honour in 1993.
Currently volunteer as an operator at the Diefenbunker Museum.
From time to time enjoy disposing of amateur radio
estates, which provides first opportunity to acquire collectibles.
Member of QCWA
(
QCWA # 8805 ) and one of the
twenty-one Charter Members of Chapter 70. Served as Vice President in
1996. Received the QCWA Century Certificate at the Chapter 70 September
2003 dinner meeting and QCWA “65 Year Licensed” Golden Certificate and
lapel pin at the May 2012 dinner meeting. Was in charge of prizes in the
QCWA 2004 International Convention Organizing Committee. At that
convention gave a presentation on “Airborne Equipment”.
